LMKR GeoGraphix 2014 was released in March 2014 and is our most advanced release to date. We are committed to providing the best possible user experience, and for this reason we are releasing a second update that provides you with further enhancements to GeoGraphix 2014 and fixes some known issues. We are also updating our LMKR Well Planning Solution, to provide you with exciting new features and make your well planning experience even easier. So what’s being updated?
New Features
Geology: Adds a multi-method graphical curve normalization utility;creates straightened image and saves new registration to the database – the straightened image can be displayed in PRIZM, Xsection,and smartSECTION for more accurate picking; and, offers significant performance enhancement in unconformity picking.
Geophysics: A new fault triangulation algorithm that produces more accurate fault planes and an enhanced 3D horizon tracker that is significantly improved over previous versions, especially in areas of noisy data or steeply dipping events.
Field Planning: Capabilities to automatically clip well trajectories to lease setbacks and maintain minimum required lateral length for planned wells; calculate pad/slot elevations from a digital elevation model; and, easily update slot locations.
Advanced 3D Visualization: Incorporates log templates, fence diagrams, seismic (time & depth) and attributes into the integrated 3D view, enabling better sweetspot identification & characterization.
LMKR Well Planner: Updates planned wellbore trajectories on maps in real-time after moving target points, significant usability & workflow enhancements.
To download and install this update, log in to the LMKR Support Portal (http://support.lmkr.com) and then select the Downloads page. Under Product Releases, click on the plus sign (+) to expand the GeoGraphix 2014 (Full Release) link and select the GeoGraphix 2014.2 (Update) link.
