Humans are tool users. Our tools are extensions of our will and our creativity, and for those of us who are geoscientists, G&G software is a tool that helps us apply our working knowledge to geological interpretation. For over thirty years, we’ve been building tools that help you build better geological interpretations, and with the release of LMKR GeoGraphix and GVERSE 2016.1 you’ll have the sharpest tools yet. Our latest release provides support for Windows 10 and includes significant new functionality in petrophysics, geological modeling and GIS/Field Planning. It demonstrates LMKR’s commitment to providing the most advanced, affordable and integrated tools for the professional geoscientist.
The industry downturn has caused pain for everybody, including us, but it also provided us with an opportunity to get better at some things. Instead of pulling back on R&D we doubled down and got 2016.1 out the door, and we’re already at work on our next release which will include very significant advances in seismic interpretation and geomodeling. Recently, we’ve started small online focus groups of geoscience professionals to help us take a feature-by-feature look at usability and workflows in GeoGraphix and help us zero in on better solutions around the most important problems facing the industry. Initially, I thought that getting folks to volunteer would be difficult, but it turned out that it wasn’t difficult at all. Geoscientists are passionate about the tools they use and willing to lend their experience to help make GeoGraphix a better tool for everyone.
