The latest release of GeoGraphix (r2014) offers a GeoGraphix Pro upgrade. The upgrade includes exciting new features to assist users with planning reservoirs and viewing data in 3D. These features include:

- Field Planning
Let’s begin with the state of the art visualization….
The GeoGraphix Pro 3D visualization package is equipped with the latest Microsoft gaming technology, Xbox controller support and advanced visualization techniques, creating a one-of-a kind visualization package catered specifically to the oil & gas industry. It has the ability to show wells, log curves, formation tops, seismic sections/slices, surfaces and micro-seismic. It also supports advanced features such as geologic cross sections and fence diagrams with interpolated well log values, PRIZM log templates, field plans, seismic backdrop on wells and cross sections; it also allows for GeoAtlas layer/map draping. Let us take a further look:
3D Regions
In GeoGraphix Pro, you can essentially convert any region on your GeoAtlas map to 3D. Doing so gives you the power to focus on a specific region or to plan your entire field or reservoir. Form as many 3D regions as necessary to ease the interpretation process; the tool has no limitations on region counts.

Fence Diagrams & Prizm Log Templates
In GeoGraphix Pro, you also have the ability to create fence diagrams. Specifically, you can create a cross section on your map in GeoAtlas, set it according to your needs in XSection, then view the cross section in advanced 3D. Any faults & inter-well point data on the cross section will be transferred automatically. Once the cross section is converted to advanced 3D, a seismic backdrop can be applied with a single click. In addition, PRIZM log templates can be applied to help with the interpretation. Switching between the interpolated log fill mode and lithology fill mode in the fence diagrams in real-time is a simple, pain-free process.

Better User Interface & Usability
We understand that altering the 3D view and visualization properties of 3D objects is a concern for users, so we’ve utilized advanced, market-leading UI technologies. The result is an extremely intuitive, user-friendly Graphical User Interface; changing properties for various 3D objects is effortless and every modified property is automatically saved and restored. In addition, dockable/moveable windows and panels allow for better screen management.
Field Plans and Seismic Backdrop
GeoGraphix Pro also allows you to visualize fields created using the new Field Planner tool (included in this upgrade package). Seismic backdrops can be applied to proposed & deviated wells to ease the well planning process. Any changes made to the field plan are instantly transferred to advanced 3D, no additional steps are necessary.

Map/Layer-Draped Surfaces
GeoAtlas surfaces can be incorporated into the advanced 3D view thanks to this feature; users can then drape the surfaces with GeoAtlas maps, or any other layers for that matter.
