Planning wells with GVERSE Planner and smartSECTION

Sometimes you don’t need to plan a large scale field. You have several wells to plan and you want a survey and a geoprog.

That’s where GVERSE Planner and smartSECTION single well workflow comes in.

Let’s take an overview of planning single wells in smartSECTION.
 

Select a well

You’ll probably have a well in your database. Looking at our example, you’ll see a satellite image.

Plotting target points in the cross section

In the cross section, you see surfaces and the surface location of the well. Let’s start plotting target points directly in the cross section.

Once target points are selected, they can also be moved and deleted from this view.

Editing in GVERSE Planner

You can make your edits in GVERSE Planner and everything will update on the fly.

Viewing in Pro 3D

Select a region on the map and view that region in Pro 3D.

That’s the entire process. It’s simple and it does what is needed. Rinse and repeat for other wells.
